Listen Mode allows you to create tasks by speaking. Open Listen Mode and start talking—Stuff will recognize tasks and dates from your speech and present them as a list. You can review and edit the tasks before saving them. Listen Mode works with natural language, so you don’t need to use specific commands.

How to use it

You can also reference dates in which you want to do things, like “tomorrow” or “next week”, and Stuff will automatically assign their Plan accordingly.

An example of something you might try saying is, “Remind me to clean the car this weekend, go on a walk today, write in my journal tomorrow, and to do the dishes.”

If you’re a student, you could also try starting listen mode while your Professor rattles off a list of things to study or to do. Listen Mode will listen and capture the ramblings into a succinct list of tasks.

Requirements

Listen Mode requires your device to be compatible with Apple Intelligence. Check this page to see if your device will work with Listen Mode.

Listen Mode uses Apple Intelligence to analyze your speech. Because this is a Statistical Model and is probabilistic, it may not always deliver results you’re expecting, or even the same result between two completely identical inputs. Because of this - as always - send me some feedback! If you’re seeing something not working as expected, let me know, and we’ll continue to improve this as time goes on.
